What You Actually Get with the Brother DCP-T830DW
This Brother model, first listed in 2025, positions itself as a modern solution for varied printing needs. It's an ink tank printer, which generally means lower running costs compared to cartridge models once the initial ink is used up. The inclusion of an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) is a big plus for scanning and copying multi-page documents quickly.

On paper, the DCP-T830DW offers a lot. For daily Indian use, the auto duplex print function is a paper-saver, especially if you print many reports or school assignments. The Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct connectivity means you can place it almost anywhere in your home or office without needing a direct cable connection to your computer, and mobile printing through Brother Mobile Connect is convenient.
The stated print speeds of 30 ppm for monochrome and 26 ppm for colour are quite good for its class, suggesting it won't keep you waiting too long for larger print jobs. The high print resolution of up to 1200 × 6000 dpi for both colour and monochrome is excellent for sharp text and vibrant images.
Is Today's Price Good for the Brother DCP-T830DW?
Today, 22 October 2026, the Brother DCP-T830DW is priced at Rs.20,799. This is 19% below its listed MRP of Rs.25,590, which is already a significant discount. More importantly, our price tracking for this model since August 6, 2026, shows that Rs.20,799 is currently the lowest price point. The price has changed 3 times in this period, fluctuating between Rs.20,799 and Rs.22,302, with an average of Rs.21,650.
Given these numbers, today's price is genuinely good. If you've been watching this printer, now might be the time to consider buying. While prices can always drop further, getting it at the lowest tracked point is a solid win. Waiting would only be smarter if your purchase isn't urgent and you're hoping for an even steeper, perhaps flash sale, discount, but there's no guarantee that will happen soon.
Who Should Consider This Printer and Who Should Look Elsewhere?
The Brother DCP-T830DW is well-suited for a small business or a busy home office. If you have children with school projects needing frequent colour prints, or if you run a small consultancy that prints client reports and invoices, the high page yield of 15,000 black and 5,000 colour pages with the included ink bottles is a significant advantage. The Automatic Document Feeder is a real time-saver for scanning or copying multi-page documents like legal papers or contracts.
However, if your printing needs are almost exclusively black and white documents, a monochrome laser printer might offer faster speeds and potentially even lower per-page costs, though the initial cost might be higher. Also, at 41.8 x 43.5 x 18.0 cm and 9.6 kg, it's not a tiny printer. If you have very limited desk space, you might want to measure carefully or look for a more compact model without an ADF.
How Does It Compare to Alternatives?
When looking at alternatives, it's good to compare apples to apples. Let's consider another option we've listed on Deal Hunter:
- Canon imageCLASS MF284dw Wireless Black & White Laser Printer All-in-One, Print/Copy/Scan, 2-Sided Printing – Available for Rs.27,979 (check it out: https://dealhunterofficial.com/deal/B0DGZL7377).
The Canon imageCLASS MF284dw is a monochrome laser printer, which means it only prints in black and white. While it also offers print, copy, and scan functions with 2-sided printing, its primary advantage would be for users who print high volumes of black and white text documents, often with faster speeds for monochrome prints than an inkjet. However, it costs significantly more at Rs.27,979 and lacks colour printing capabilities entirely. If colour printing is important to you, the Brother DCP-T830DW at Rs.20,799 is the clear choice here. For an office needing both colour and high-volume black and white, you'd need to weigh the cost difference and features carefully.
